At a consignment store I'd never visited before I scored tis never-worn DKNY sweater, cropped and wide, with the tags still on it, in fine gauge silk knit. There I stood, holding the essence of luxury in a shape that I could see would not flatter many. I loved the arc of the hemline and committed my do-over design would keep it intact. Thanks to a few cashmere pieces I had at home, things turned out as I'd planned.
Silk top section
cashmere bottom section
Tunic, dolman sleeve tapers gradually to the wrist, arced seam where silver grey silk meets black cashmere. More arcs of black cashmere fabric continue to the hem in front, two straight panels meet on the back, where the hem is longer. Slips on over the head, Perfectly flattering, considering the barely-there structure. Feminine form at no expense to comfort. Easily a three season piece!
